Being a "mature lady" (59 years old - how did that happen?!), the social media algorithm started feeding me "mature beauty" stuff over the holidays. And I saw a lot of Laura Geller. But, I NEVER buy from the social media ads. I have been burned before! Now, Laura Geller is an established brand with an established website so I was probably safe there, but, I have Amazon Prime so I came here to place my order, and more importantly, to read all the REVIEWS you ladies so graciously share here, before I took the plunge to order it. And y'all convinced me to try this. I use this as the primer for her powder foundation and this one-two combo really works. I am not a huge makeup girlie and liquid foundation and I have a love-hate relationship. Either I don't get the coverage I need, pick a bad color, or there's too much and it settles into the lines of my face. But with this spackle primer and her powder foundation (sorry can't recall the name of that product but it's the one that looks like lots of colors and comes with a cool retractable brush that is also just killer!), I look professionally made up in no time at all. I feel so fancy now :). Thanks to this product, I have gone from almost NEVER wearing foundation to making it a daily habit, and this primer really helps it stay on and set. I am going to have to put this one on SUBSCRIBE so I never run out. Highly recommend.

I needed to upgrade my facial primer to better help my mature (age 60) dry sensitive skin. Purchased this LAURA GELLER NEW YORK Spackle Primer - Hydrate formula. This is my first purchased from this brand. Wowza! Everything about this wonderful product exceeded my expectations.

You really do need this for a good base. I tried just using moisturizer then applying Laura Gellers baked foundation but it just didn't blend as well or last that long. So I splurged and got this. Girl, you only need a small amount over your already soaked in moisturizer. Let that soak in too, then apply your baked powder foundation. It helps my makeup stay on and GO ON great!!

Its great for keeping your makeup looking flawless and lasting lasting I was having a hard time with my blush lasting all day. I put it on and at the end of the day my cheeks had absolutely no color in them at all. I tried this and since my blush has lasted all day long! This is a great product for skin product for keeping your skin hydrated and making your make up last all day long. I would recommend to anyone. My mom and Aunt are using Laura Geller now, after I started using it. They switched to it.

Absolutely love this product it’s lovely and smooth and unlike some it doesn’t sit on the surface of your skin or take a lot of rubbing in and you only need a small amount so lasts well too this is my second purchase I was so impressed and great for mature skin .

I had read about how well this worked and thought about trying it for a while but hated to add something else to my makeup regime. Now that I’ve tried it I’m kicking myself for not using it sooner. Even using really nice makeup brushes for application and keeping brushes clean, my makeup sill went on streaky, especially over freshly moisturized skin. I don’t find that the case anymore now that I’m using this makeup primer. My foundation goes on smooth and even. Really a game changer!

It's good! Not using it often, only if I'm wearing foundation which is like 2-3x a month. Def looks smoother and it doesn't cake/pill like some moisturizers might. If I use it I'll use it in place of moisturizer. Worth a try. Glad I saw it on wirecutter for mature skin recs.
